At Redeemer House, Toronto
Young Adults in Action is an opportunity for Young Adults (age 18-30) and Redemptorists to come together and offer our talents, time and service to the poor and marginalized citizens of Toronto.
Each month we will explore a new facet of the social services provided in Toronto and will have a chance to meet and hear from the experts in those fields.
We will then examine what we have learned in the light of our faith and then launch into action with some hands on experiences that will be both challenging and fun.
Service
Come and meet those involved in social justice in our city. Learn what they do, who they serve and how you can become involved.
Justice
Examining the documents and traditions of our Christian faith we will have opportunity to discuss where our society meets those ideals and where it falls short and what we might do to help.
Faith
Through input, discussion and prayer, we come to a better understanding of our faith journey and God’s work in our lives and in the life of our city.
Fun
Coming together shoulder to shoulder working for the poor is not just challenging, its also fun. Experiences shared are experiences remembered.
